Material Planner

Overview
This position is responsible for ensuring a consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production based on demand.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan the required materials and purchase quantities to fulfill demand of service line. Submit workorders. Utilize SAP, Excel and Microsoft Office 365.
- Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, etc.
- Track the shipping status and ensure the shipment will arrive on time.
- Schedule and oversee the supply and delivery of materials and products.
- Liaise with purchasing department, broker, carrier, etc. for the schedule, ETD, ETA of shipments.
- Manage materials issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
- Prepare reports accurately on a weekly basis.
- Act as warehouse coordinator to plan, schedule, coordinate and expedite material issue to the production floor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skill / Knowledge Requirements :
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365.Must have hands-on experience in SAP.Must have great interpersonal communication skills.Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment.Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills.Proven ability to function independently and be able to multi-task.Education and Experience
Associates degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.Must have at least two (2) to three (3) years of material planning experience, in a manufacturing environment preferred.Ability to speak Mandarin / Chinese is highly preferred.
