The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the Controllership team with general ledger management, account reconciliations, monthly accounting cycle closing, conducting bank reconciliations and assisting the Controllership team in other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform weekly cash reconciliation and follow-up on any unusual items
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules including construction in progress
- Partner with Accounting Manager and department managers to prepare month end accruals and related reconciliations
- Prepare assigned monthly closing general ledger entries and ad hoc entries as needed
- Perform travel and entertainment expense reconciliation, experience in Concur a plus
- Reconcile intercompany balances and lead the coordination with subsidiaries
- Prepare annual state registrations and sales tax exemption forms
- Assist with annual audit activities
- Perform other related duties, as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
BS in accounting3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment; public or private equity experience preferredExperience in a multiple company general ledger environment preferredGeneral ledger system integration / conversion experience helpfulSolid written and verbal communication skillsStrong Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical skillsAbility to pay attention to detail and maintain confidentialityAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with various reporting requirementsStrong interpersonal skills and commitment to working with a diverse staffSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is in an office environment with adequate lighting and low noise levels.This position is full time which consists of a standard work week of 40 hours; however, the incumbent may be required to work additional hours in order to complete the responsibilities of the position.This position is on site with flexibility for remote work as determined by management.Benefits :
