Assistant Director of Nursing

Wesley Gardens, a respected skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Rochester, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our clinical leadership team. Key Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Nursing with daily clinical operations and overall nursing leadership.

Supervise, mentor, and support nurses and CNAs to ensure high-quality resident care.

Participate in staff education, training, and performance evaluations.

Oversee compliance with DOH, CMS, and all state / federal regulations.

Support QAPI, infection control, and survey readiness initiatives.

Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and department heads.

Step in for the DON when needed to maintain continuity of care and operations.

Qualifications

Active RN license in New York (required).

Previous leadership experience as an ADON, Unit Manager, or Nursing Supervisor in a Skilled Nursing Facility strongly preferred.

Solid understanding of long-term care regulations, PDPM, and survey processes.

Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
