Job descriptionProvide urgent care services for patients across the lifespan Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of acute and chronic conditions Perform examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as appropriate Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and timely patient records Adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards Active Nurse Practitioner license required for California Board certification in Family Medicine required Certifications needed : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and active DEA registration Urgent care experience required; family practice experience required; emergency room experience encouraged Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 45-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, and features 12-hour per diem shifts from 9am to 9pm at an urgent care facility operating 365 days a year. Candidates must have prior urgent care and family practice experience, with emergency room experience encouraged.
