Job brief

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Media Cloud Technical Architect to lead the technical design and delivery of Media Cloud solutions, leveraging Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) capabilities for the media and entertainment sector. The ideal candidate will combine deep Salesforce platform expertise with an understanding of media subscription, content monetization, and advertising workflows. This role involves defining scalable architectures, guiding development teams, and ensuring seamless integration across Salesforce applications and external systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical architecture, design, and implementation of Salesforce Media Cloud solutions
  • Define and document architecture blueprints covering Media Cloud data models, order management, and product catalog design
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and developers to translate media-specific business processes into Salesforce capabilities
  • Configure and optimize Industries features such as Media Product Catalog, Order Management, and Contract Lifecycle Management
  • Design and implement integrations with external media systems (CRM, ad sales, billing, fulfillment, and subscription platforms)
  • Guide development teams on OmniStudio (OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards) and Salesforce core development (Apex, LWC)
  • Establish and enforce development standards, coding practices, and release management strategies
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and compliance with security and data governance best practices
  • Mentor developers and technical leads to build in-house expertise on Media Cloud and related technologies
  • Stay current with Salesforce Media Cloud and Communications, Media & Energy Cloud roadmap updates

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience on the Salesforce platform, with at least 3+ years working with Salesforce Industries (Vlocity)
  • Proven experience designing and implementing Salesforce Media Cloud or Communications, Media & Energy Cloud solutions
  • Strong understanding of Media Cloud data model and industry processes such as order-to-cash, ad sales, content monetization, and subscription management
  • Hands-on experience with OmniStudio tools (OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards)
  • Proficiency in Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, Flows) and integration patterns using REST / SOAP APIs and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft)
  • Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and environment management (e.g., Gearset, Copado, GitHub Actions)
  • Salesforce certifications such as Industries CPQ Developer, OmniStudio Consultant, or System / Application Architect are highly desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience in the media, advertising, or entertainment industry is a strong advantage
