KPMG is currently seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Trade and Customs practice.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide advice to clients in a variety of industries, on import and export matters
  • Research U.S. and international import and export trade matters
  • Research, write, and review international trade advice
  • Formulate ideas and deliver possible trade savings opportunities
  • Aid in the development and training of team members
  • Assist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and satisfaction
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Additional responsibility for Senior Associate :

  • Provide leadership to associates and review their work
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum one year of recent experience with a tax or advisory services firm, corporation, or trade law firm in import / export in the field of trade and customs as a customs attorney, customs broker, U.S. Customs auditor, or import specialist, which will include experience in The Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, NAFTA, entry processes, valuation, and informed compliance methods
  • Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, and / or Masters in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college / university
  • Fluent in the Korean language
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated project management experience including effective interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally

  • Additional qualifications for Senior Associate :

  • Minimum three years of recent direct experience working on engagements involving import and / or export compliance matters
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or other related trade certification preferred

    California Salary Range : $59300 - $99200
