Position Description Were looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to establish and grow our electrical engineering practice in Austin. This is a rare opportunity to define technical direction, shape project delivery, and build a local team all with the support of an established, multidisciplinary firm and a strong nationwide electrical group. - The expected salary range for this position is $ 145,000 to $ 168,000 annually. Lead Electrical Engineer - Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
- 15+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in the building design industry
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Strong proficiency with Autodesk MEP Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Microsoft Office
- Deep technical understanding of electrical systems, including advantages, limitations, cost implications, and energy efficiency

Provide electrical engineering design for various building typesServe as Engineer-in-responsible-charge, making technical decisions, reviewing, stamping, and signing Construction DocumentsProvide leadership, communication, training, mentorship, continuous assignments, and feedback to team membersDrive business development by identifying market opportunities and participating in firm-wide project interviewsSupport project interviews, prepare fee proposals, and assist with contract negotiationsSchedule project workloads, represent Cushing Terrell in meetings, and assist in strategy sessionsReview design packages and provide clear technical direction to project teamsDirect activities of workers and consultants preparing drawings and specificationsManage the financial aspects of projects, balancing strong client relationships with business goalsExecute supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining team members, addressing complaints, and resolving issuesAct as a resource / advisor for continuing education topics / needsEngage actively in professional developmentBenefits Offered at Cushing Terrell

Actual pay will be determined based on the candidates years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law).
