Employment Type : Travel Nurse Contract

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 1 / 2025 – End : 3 / 2 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1530 - $1640

Number of Beds : 33

Patient Ratios : 7 : 1 (nights)

Staffing Support : 3 patient care techs per shift, unit secretary on days

Documentation System : Meditech EMR

Scheduling : Every other weekend required

Floating : May float to other medical-surgical units or appropriate areas as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state

At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Proficient IV skills; experience with Kangaroo pumps and SCDs

Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend

Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to medical-surgical patients

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Meditech EMR

Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate clinical equipment

Collaborate with physicians, patient care techs, and other healthcare professionals

Support patient education, discharge planning, and clinical support

Float to other hospital units as needed to maintain hospital operations

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and unit guidelines
