Focus : Retail & Digital Trading

About the Role

BetMGM is looking for a Trading Manager who will focus on Retail and Digital trading. The individual should thrive on building a culture of excellence within their team and experiences our customers can rely upon. This person will be intently focused on delivering volumes of important sports betting markets, making connections others miss, and takes pride in intimately understanding our customers.

Responsibilities

Lead a team to deliver a best-in-class trading lifecycle with superior customer experiences

Manage performance of direct reports by setting and tracking team and individual performance targets and indicators.

Be a coach. Conduct regular one to one performance feedback conversations with direct reports.

Own workforce planning, scheduling and coverage across all Major Leagues (inc. College) for BetMGM.

Use and embed best practice odds compilation methods, aligned to our philosophy, to discover optimal closing lines pregame and live in-play price positions on all Major US Sports leagues.

Supervise real time daily communication within Trading for optimal execution

Primary focus on our most liquid and high demand leagues / markets : NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAAF & NCAAB

Secondary focus on PGA, UFC and other sports / leagues / markets as agreed with manager.

Set standard practices in collaboration with trading leadership

Accountable for high value bet acceptance decisions made on Major US Sports leagues.

Create an environment where inexperienced traders have effective guard rails within which they can operate with confidence to optimize BetMGM margin on Major US sports.

Responsible for Gross Gaming Revenue and Margin performance on Major US sports leagues.

Support acquisition and retention through collaboration with promotions, CRM, content, partners and other stakeholders by delivering compelling special offers (e.g., Odds Boosts).

Correspond with compliance on new market requests and approvals

Liese with Trading Operations and Support to optimize potential offering and ensure compliant configurations.

Create unique selling points of difference and competitive advantage in our market offerings.

Offer select and approved media partners insights on behalf of Sports Trading.

Essential Functions

Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time

Qualifications

Proven people manager with experience leading and developing trading teams.

Experience in both digital and retail sports wagering environments highly desirable.

2+ years in the retail sports wagering sector.

The annual salary range for this position is $100000 to $115000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography / market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements

As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

In addition, candidates must comply with and support the company's responsible gambling policies, procedures and initiatives.

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
