Senior Accountant

Our client is a family-owned business in Hartford. They are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join the accounting and finance team.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT :

Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.

The Senior Accountant will prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.

Handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.

The Senior Accountant will assist the Controller in a variety of ad hoc projects

Review the work of the Staff Accountants.

The Senior Accountant will supervise the AP & AR department

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE :

BS in Finance or Accounting

Minimum of 3-5 years related accounting experience

Strong Excel skills
