Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1530 - $1640 ER RN Job Details Location : Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Emergency Department (Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Start Date : October 9, 2025 End Date : April 9, 2026 Contract Duration : 26 weeks Shift : 6 : 45 AM – 7 : 15 PM (12-hour day shifts) Hours per Week : 36 Schedule : Every other weekend required Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year as an ER RN Experience in a Level II trauma center or high-volume Emergency Department (100,000 visits / year) preferred Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (must be current before start date) ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to coach and provide real-time feedback Flexibility to float and work in all areas of the Emergency Department Professionalism and commitment to delivering excellent patient care and experience ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a busy Emergency Room setting Manage patient ratios typically 4 : 1 (medical) and up to 7 : 1 for ED behavioral holds Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including techs, unit clerks, and fellow nursing staff Utilize Cerner for electronic documentation and operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors Adhere to AIDET and patient experience standards, ensuring respectful communication and regular updates to patients and families Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed Maintain compliance with hospital policies, dress code (navy scrubs), and attendance requirements Why Choose Asheville, NC?
