ER RN Job Details Location : Asheville, NC 28801 Unit : Emergency Department (ER) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 9 / 10 / 2025 – End : 12 / 10 / 2025) Shift : 12 Hour Nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1530–$1640 Patient Ratios : Typically 4 : 1 (medical), up to 7 : 1 for ED behavioral holds Unit Size : 101 beds Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year as an Emergency Room RN Experience in Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department (100,000 visits / year) preferred Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to float throughout the ER Ability to coach peers and provide real-time feedback Commitment to positive patient experiences and respectful behavior Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system Dress code : Navy scrubs Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations Collaborate with healthcare staff including techs and unit clerks in a fast-paced ER environment Float to all sections of the Emergency Department as needed Utilize Baxter infusion pumps and GE patient monitors Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner Update patient boards and communicate effectively with patients and families Demonstrate AIDET communication and uphold patient experience standards Participate in department initiatives and contribute to a culture of healthcare excellence Join our healthcare team in Asheville and experience the benefits of travel nursing jobs in North Carolina.
