Job description

Job Title: Data Entry
Location: Johnston, RI
Shift: Flexible - works 4 days or less in the office
Pay: $18.82 per hour

Job Description:

Working to support a team of 6–7 members with replacing the Commercial Billing Process. This is a long-term contract role.

Training will be 4–6 weeks, and after training is completed, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
  • Green Screen knowledge is a plus.
  • Banking background is a plus.
  • 1 years of experience with data entry and phone communications.
  • Strong attention to detail is imperative.

Summary:
Responsible for operating data entry devices, such as a keyboard or computer, to verify and input data. 1–3 years of related experience required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time.
  • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
  • Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read source documents, such as canceled checks, sales reports, or bills, and enter data into specific fields using keyboards or scanners.
  • Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before entry.
  • Locate and correct data entry errors or report them to supervisors.
  • Compare data with source documents or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.
  • Maintain logs of activities and completed work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required.
