Power BI Analyst

The Power BI Analyst is responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that inform business and operational decisions. This position collaborates closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, design, and develop interactive dashboards and reports that clearly and effectively communicate complex information. The Analyst will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within BI systems, while translating business needs into technical solutions that drive performance and support mission-critical operations. This role requires a blend of analytical, technical, and communication skills to bridge the gap between data and decision-making within a large federal enterprise.

This position is onsite and can be based in any of the following locations : Springfield, VA, Ashburn, VA, or Orlando, FL.

Required Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking, or Telecommunications.
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate or other relevant certifications.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in data modeling techniques.
• Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and visualize data to support business intelligence and operational reporting needs.
• Experience with data transformation, ETL processes, and connecting to various data sources.
• Demonstrated understanding of data governance, accuracy, and integrity within BI systems.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with technical teams, analysts, and leadership stakeholders.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a federal security badge.

The salary range for this position is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. It has been benchmarked in relation to the scope of the role, market rate, and internal equity. The salary for this role is expected to be in the $90,000 - $130,000 range. Where a candidate falls within the band can be determined based on one or more of the following : skillset, experience level, achievements, education, geographic location, security clearance, involvement in corporate tasks, and other non-discriminatory factors. In addition to the base salary, this role will include benefits as described below.  Valiant reserves the right to adjust the salary range, experience requirements, and position responsibilities at any time without prior notice.
