Shift Notes :

5x8 hr shifts, 1400 - 2230

Pay Rate : Rate may vary due to local or non-local contracted rates : 55-65 combined Rate of pay. ( Pay packages are a combination of taxable hourly rates, tax free allowances for travel, housing, and meal allowances) ( Rates are subject to change via client need)
Additional bonuses are available.

OPERATING ROOM RN / PERIOPERATIVE NURSE JOB DESCRIPTION :

Responsibilities

Pre-operative : Prepare patients for surgery, answer questions, and help calm fears

Intra-operative : Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies, and monitor the patient's condition

Post-operative : Provide care and instructions, and manage complications

Operating room management : Maintain a safe and comfortable environment, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals

Training

Earn an associate degree

Pass the NCLEX-RN exam

Complete additional schooling and relevant certifications

Complete a training program, which can take 14–24 weeks

Challenges

Balancing demanding schedules with personal commitments

Being available to work rotating shifts and on short notice for emergencies
