The previous Family Medicine Physician in this small, quaint Georgia town has taken a position in the Administrative portion of this health system opening the door for a new provider to take his place.
This is an employed position with a medium sized Healthcare Network that operates two different hospitals. One is a 55 bed PPS facility and the second is a 25 bed critical access location. Hospitalist and ER services are contracted out to a provider group, so the incoming candidate can have the option of either making their practice 100% outpatient with no call or they may admit to the hospital themselves and perform rounding. Average patient load is 25 patients per day. This will be in a system owned clinic with an established patient panel and all support staff already in place.
Salary starts at the 25th percentile of MGMA (approximately $150,000) and up depending on experience plus WRVU production incentive. Additionally there is a comprehensive benefits package which includes 21 days PTO plus eight paid holidays and $3,000 CME.
The ideal candidate should be willing to live in the community. Providers with strong Georgia ties, southern roots or a desire to live and work in a small town would likely thrive here. Experienced Board Certified physicians are preferred but new graduates and / or Board Eligible Physicians are welcome to apply.
