Key Responsibilities
- Manage the annual tax compliance process for approximately 60+ taxable entities. Complete preparation of all tax workpapers, including state apportionment schedules; serves as primary point of contact and relationship manager for external CPA firm.
- Analyze transactions and prepare projections of taxable income for partners and shareholders.
- Track and respond to inquiries from the IRS, State, and other tax authorities.
- Prepare, file and track sales and use tax returns and personal property tax returns.
- Document research findings in written memorandum and the ability to present to Senior Executive Staff.
- Maintain tax fixed asset records for portfolio investments.
- Organize and maintain internal tax files.
- Serve as point of contact for the Company's transfer agent, maintain and track changes on unit holder registrar; oversee unit issuances and repurchases, investor mailings, distributions, etc.; respond to investor inquiries and requests as needed; calculate vesting schedules, 83(b) filings and associated payroll compliance.
- Complete ad hoc analysis and projects as needed and continuously strive for ongoing betterment and improvement.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Education :
Bachelors Degree in Accounting - RequiredMasters Degree in Accounting or Taxation - PreferredExperience :
