Working as an integral part of the Marine Underwriting team, you will be focused on securing new business opportunities and servicing an existing book by providing leading-edge client focused solutions with an emphasis on Marine Hull & Liabilities. You will develop and structure tailor-made solutions to the most complex risks to win new business and retain existing customers following underwriting guidelines.

As a key member of our Marine Underwriting Team, you play an integral role in increasing market share while maintaining the highest standards of underwriting as you review, evaluate, select, classify, price, rate, and quote risks that are determined to be acceptable. Your essential responsibilities include :

• Accountable for soliciting and underwriting risks in support of the successful execution of territorial strategic operating and marketing plans, ensuring delivery of positive financial performance.
• Oversight of proper risk selection, mix of business management, pricing strategies, adherence to underwriting guidelines, quality analysis for Marine Hull & Liabilities.
• Handle large and complex placements.
• Responsible for an annual production plan to maintain & grow existing relationships, assist with geographical expansion, and identify new producer appointments.
• Provide necessary underwriting and tactical support to peer underwriters and junior underwriters.
• Collaborate with other business units to advance the enterprise and reputation of the marine unit within the enterprise and identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Assist the marine leadership team as necessary on project work to expand the appetite and product offerings of the marine unit.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $124,500 to $186,500 USD. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual's skills, experience, and location.
