Description :

Seeking an experienced ICU RN for a float pool position.

The ICU consists of critical care units with 10-20 beds.

Patient types include those in CCU, MICU, STICU, NICU, CVICU, and PCU.

Patient ratios are typically RN 1 : 1-2 in the ICU and 1 : 3-4 in the PCU.

Support staff includes CNAs who assist with vital signs, blood glucose checks, bathing, and patient safety.

A unit secretary is available during day shifts, with a call secretary available overnight.

Charge nurses will be present on the unit.

RNs will be responsible for lab draws and medication administration from a centralized team.

Technology used includes EMR systems.

Responsibilities involve managing various drips and patient care procedures.

Travelers will be required to float to medical and telemetry units as necessary.

The department expects weekend rotations and holiday work responsibility.

Requests for time off must be approved by management.
