Equipment Operator

ABOUT THE ROLE

Runs dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks or other types of large equipment used for paving or moving, grading and compacting earth, sand, gravel, stone and / or asphalt materials. Conducts routine daily inspections of equipment and maintains equipment in a clean and safe manner.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Loads trucks, feeds bins with various aggregate materials, maintains proper quantities of material to be loaded, moves earth or material from one location to another, and performs paving / grading work.
• Keeps equipment clean and orderly.
• Performs daily inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental requirements are followed at all times.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education : High School diploma or equivalent

Required Work Experience : Minimun of one year of related work experience or equivalent combination of eduaction and experience. Ability to read and write. Excellent driving skills.
