Carpenter III

Join our team as a Carpenter III and take the lead in maintaining and repairing commercial and municipal buildings, ensuring every property is safe, functional, and visually impressive. In this role, you will keep our facilities running smoothly, manage contractors, direct carpentry teams, and oversee repairs and installations.

Duties include :

• Lead and perform building maintenance and repair on commercial and municipal city buildings and properties.
• Inspect and repair different types of roofing, siding, and cornice.
• Repair cabinets and countertops, laminate and solid surface.
• Install and repair doors and windows.
• Install and repair commercial locks and hardware, as well as rekeying.
• Oversee the work of contractors.
• Fill out daily work orders of work performed, write reports and cost estimates for time and materials needed.
• Direct the work activities of subordinate carpenters to ensure proper and timely completion.
• Perform work in compliance with local, state, and federal building codes.
• Perform after hours standby on rotating basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial building maintenance, rough and finish carpentry, and installing or repairing doors, windows, flooring, and commercial locks / hardware. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including overseeing contractors and guiding teams, are essential. The candidate is organized, skilled in record keeping, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
