Data Solutions Architect - Work from home

Our client is looking for an Enterprise Solutions Architect over Data to standardize the architecture design templates that will be consistently be used (and reused) moving forward. This will change how work is submitted to the architecture team, and how they prioritize, track, and share the work. This person will assist with the processes that need to be designed, documented and communicated across the organization. This person will help with setups in Jira (backlogs, Kanban boards, etc).

Key Responsibilities :

1. Strategic Technology Roadmap : - Actively contribute to and inform the company's Strategic Technology Roadmap, ensuring alignment with both short-term and long-term organizational objectives. - Stay abreast of emerging technologies, capabilities, and best practices, especially in the realms of AI and cloud-native solutions, to continuously evolve the roadmap.

2. Cloud-Native Solutions & Architecture : - Design and implement high-performance cloud-native solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with an emphasis on transitioning legacy on-prem systems. - Design and implement workflow complexity mitigation solutions on Google Cloud Platform between GCP native applications, VertexAI / BigQuery, and 3rd-party SaaS platforms. - Address and resolve intricate architectural challenges, emphasizing resilience and scalability.

3. Data Management & AI Integration : - Lead the transformation of existing data architectures for optimal cloud compatibility. - Collaborate closely with the data science team to seamlessly integrate AI models into the cloud, ensuring scalable and robust solutions.

4. Mentoring & Skill-building : - Mentor internal teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning around GCP, AI, and cloud-native methodologies. - Provide guidance on overcoming challenges associated with cloud migration and AI integration.

5. Security & Compliance : - Ensure all cloud solutions and migrations adhere to financial sector-specific compliance. - Champion the implementation of top-tier cloud security practices throughout all migration phases.
