Job Description :

As the Senior Specialist, Systems Integration Engineer in Ashburn, you will be responsible for providing guidance to other employees and, as an individual contributor, executing hardware and software system integration, system characterization and troubleshooting, and verification and validation of complex systems.

The Agile Development Group (ADG) specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.

Essential Functions :

• Leading a team to identify and complete assigned program tasking; identifying and removing team's impediments; and managing up.
• Manages team and individually contributes to hands-on system integration and testing activities for a complex hardware / software system.
• Perform design verification testing efforts including lab, chamber, ground, and flight test.
• Assess, troubleshoot, and develop mitigation strategies for complex system issues.
• Fabricate parts, tools.
• Rapidly learn and contribute during design-develop-build-integration|test-verification|validation cycles.
• Collaborates across fast-paced multidisciplinary (mechanical, electrical, specialty engineering) team.
• Guides team and / or as an individual contributor develops and runs simulations and other analysis tools to predict system performance in various environments.
• Analyze data from design verification test efforts.
• Track and present technical performance results.
• Delegates or authors test plan / procedures, non-conformance reports, requirements, and other system engineering CDRLs.
• Explains, interprets, and gains cooperation on policies, procedures, and practices.
• Contributes to trade studies.
• Uses Agile PLM, Sunflower, Windchill.
• Participates in proposal activities, both cost and technical.
• Ability to maintain DoD security clearances as required.
• Ability to lift to 20 lbs.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.
• Other duties as required.
