Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with current ARRT credentials and direct mammography experience for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

Work in a mammography unit focusing on women's health diagnostic imaging

Day shift schedule 5x8 hours, 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM, with no weekends or on-call requirements

Rare floating may be required to other facilities within the health system

Modules are completed during orientation and regularly scheduled shifts

Perform diagnostic mammography procedures according to MQSA standards

Work within a multidisciplinary patient care team

Medical and religious vaccine accommodation requests are considered on a case-by-case basis

RTO requests must be submitted with initial application and cannot be added later

Previous employment at any of the health system's facilities must be disclosed

Locals accepted; a 75 mile travel radius rule applies to pay rate

Scrubs / dress code information will be provided by the unit

First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

Graduation from a hospital-based two-year Radiologic Technology training program or Associate's degree in Radiology Technology required

ARRT (R) certification in Radiography required

CPR-BLS certification through the American Heart Association required

Clinical and technical competency in mammography per MQSA standards required

ARRT Mammography credential required within 12 months of start date

At least 1 year of direct mammography experience required

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Three or more years of experience preferred

Illinois Radiology license in hand prior to consideration (license required if applicable)

Must travel to Illinois at least two Fridays before start date for mandatory fingerprinting if not listed as 'Eligible' in IL Healthcare Worker Registry

ASN or BSN accepted
