Job Description
The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, at Boyd Corporation - Gaffney, is responsible for direct communication to assigned customers regarding, but not limited to, First Article Inspections (FAI) and reports, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) report submissions, control and analysis of Non-Conforming Product including Corrective Actions, and implementation of customer specific requirements. The QE also provides feedback to Quality and Production Management on needed improvements through auditing of the various processes. The QE provides training and mentoring for operators regarding the correct use and maintenance of Inspection, Measuring & Test Equipment (IM&TE), drawings, routers, quality standards, equipment setup, and work instruction interpretation.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be experienced in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) including the use of various measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc., and specific experience with international standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
