Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in a Level 1 trauma acute care setting, requiring large hospital and robotics experience.
Responsibilities
Work in a large acute care hospital Operating Room (OR) with 25 suitesLevel 1 trauma center with 75 to 100 cases per dayPatient ratio is 1 : 1 in the ORRequired experience with procedures including Neuro, Ortho, robotics, DaVinci, and general / ENTUses Epic for charting, with Accudose, cautery, lasers, laparoscopic, arthroscopy, and Stealth navigation equipmentDay shifts of 8 or 10 hours, with rotation to PM shift; late stays may be required as part of regular shift responsibilitiesOn-call required 1 to 2 days per week and every 3 to 4 weekendsPossible floating to other campuses (rare)RN will serve as circulating nurse, responsible for patient care during surgery including sterile prepping, catheter insertion, supply setup, patient positioning, documentation, and use of OR equipmentScrubs in Ceil Blue are providedAll clinicians must badge in and out at the facilityReturning employees must have ended employment with the health system at least 6 months prior to considerationCandidates living within 80 miles may be eligible for a local rate adjustmentRequirements
Active ND or Compact RN license requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredMinimum 2 years recent OR RN experience in acute care with 250+ beds and Level 1 traumaExperience in settings with 15 or more OR suites requiredExperience with DaVinci or other robotics preferredProficiency with Neuro / Ortho procedures and navigation technology requiredEpic charting experience preferredOutpatient center experience not acceptedCannot consider candidates living within a 60-mile radius of the facilityBenefits
