Pittsburgh Mercy has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physician to join our ambulatory team located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Essential Functions and Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the Position :

• Provide direct services through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of assigned out-patients and Respite residents
• Provider emergency crisis intervention during routine working hours Provide on-call coverage during non-routine hours (as necessary) Follow established clinical practice guidelines
• Provide procedural services within the scope of specialty training and clinical competence
• Provide clinical supervision and consultation to treatment teams Provide education to the unit staff about relevant clinical issues in both formal and informal settings Participate in administrative duties as assigned.
• Communicate appropriately, following confidentiality guidelines, with internal and external providers to ensure quality and continuity of care Participate in the education of health professions students assigned to site rotations
• Medical record documentation will be in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain an active Pennsylvania physician / surgeon license, board certification in primary care specialty, and controlled substance registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration. Abide by the credentialing and re-credentialing policy.
• Maintain participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and other third party payer programs as required by administration.
