Bankruptcy Legal Assistant

We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a Bankruptcy Legal Assistant opportunity with a company specializing in default-related services, including foreclosures, bankruptcies, evictions, and deeds in lieu. This company emphasizes honesty, integrity, and a client-focused approach, ensuring efficient and timely services in the bankruptcy and default servicing industry.

Your specific duties will include :

• Drafting legal documents, including proofs of claims, transfers of claims, notices of payment changes, post-petition fee notices, responses to final cure notices, and other pleadings.
• Reviewing lengthy pay histories and Chapter 13 plans.
• Monitoring court dockets (PACER) and ECF emails for important filings.
• Updating case information in the internal file tracking system.
• Liaising with clients through various vendor systems (such as VendorScape and LPS) and updating case files accordingly.
• Managing 150+ case files while ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
• Conducting legal research and following procedures accurately.
• Communicating professionally with attorneys, clients, third parties (such as homeowners), and outside counsel.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for all files in your caseload via telephone and email.

Specific qualifications for the position include :

Pay Rate Range : $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
