Diesel School Bus Mechanic

Shift - Monday- Friday 1st Shift

Hours to be set once candidate accepts

Pay : $28-32 per hour

Requirements :

• Servicing of gasoline and diesel powered buses from basic maintenance and minor repairs to full vehicle service
• Diagnose mechanical defects and carry out a preventive maintenance program
• Major and minor overhaul of engines and transmissions
• Service and maintain brakes, air compressors, fuel systems, ignitions, HVAC systems, and wheelchair lifts
• Service and maintain vehicle air conditioning units
• Inspect and repair school buses per DOT requirements
• Keep records of time and materials used
