Job descriptionPrepare complete, accurate estimates for ground-up luxury homes Build cost models for structural, MEP, interiors, and premium finish packages Perform detailed quantity takeoffs across all disciplines Develop and manage bid packages for high-end residential subcontractors Evaluate drawings, specs, and design changes to update pricing Lead value engineering efforts and provide cost-saving recommendations Work closely with project managers, designers, and architects during preconstruction Maintain organized, accurate estimating documentation and historical cost data Competitive base salary : $130,000 – $150,000 DOE + Bonus A pipeline of luxury, design-driven homes in Atlanta’s top neighborhoods Long-term stability in a reputable, well-established custom builder Strong internal team, premium subcontractor base, and vendor relationships
Senior Estimator – Luxury Custom Homes
Atlanta, GA
Salary : $130,000 – $150,000 DOE + Bonus
A premier luxury homebuilder in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for high-end, architect-driven custom homes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented preconstruction professional with a background in multi-million-dollar luxury residential builds and a proven record of long-term stability with previous employers.
Minimum Requirements (Must-Have)
- Experience estimating luxury or custom homes (high-end finishes, architect-driven designs, multi-million-dollar budgets)
- Longevity with past companies — ideally 3–5+ years
- Strong understanding of custom residential construction, premium materials, and specialty trades
- Ability to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost breakdowns, and complete bid packages
- Experience sourcing supplier quotes and managing subcontractor pricing
- Proficiency in estimating software and takeoff tools
- Background working with architects, designers, and high-expectation private clients
