Inventory Control Assistant
POSITION PURPOSE
Assist in the inventory management of all medical and surgical stock items for specific stocking locations within the System. Performs duties related to inventory control, PAR stock management and materials storage.

High School or Equivalent (GED)

Successful completion on computer system training related to Supply Inventory Management.
Ability to read, write, hear, speak and comprehend the English language.
Basic computer knowledge and skills.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Analyzes daily inventory stock levels and re-orders required stock items through the appropriate computer system application.
Processes orders for departmental non-stock and non-catalog specialty items.
Performs the breakout of incoming materials management and surgical stock items and restocks these items in their proper location.
Performs inventory cycle counts for verifying the accuracy of stock inventory and assist with the annual physical inventory.
Organizes and maintains Materials Management and Surgical Services inventory locations.
Effectively communicates and collaborates with Purchasing and System departments regarding inventory management issues.
Fills and picks departmental custom stock order requisitions.
Performs maintenance of materials management system application specific to inventory management and custom PAR and requisitions forms.
