Job Title : Senior Web Developer

Location : Hybrid - Albany, NY

Duration : 24 Months

Rate : Depends on experience

Position Overview

As part of the New York HBITS initiative, the Senior Web Developer will enhance and support Drupal-based enterprise sites. You'll deliver responsive, accessible, and NYS-standards-compliant experiences, building custom modules / themes and integrating search and platform tools (Acquia, SOLR / SearchStax). Expertise in PHP, JavaScript / jQuery, HTML5 / CSS3 / SASS, Git, and cross-browser testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Drupal websites are usable, accessible, responsive, and compliant with NYS standards and best practices.
• Use the enterprise Drupal platform to deliver secure, scalable features using current technologies and industry best practices.
• Develop custom modules, themes, and both front-end / back-end functionality.
• Build with PHP, JavaScript / jQuery, HTML / CSS / Twig; manage code with Git.
• Configure and optimize Acquia, SearchStax, and SOLR for robust site search.
• Perform cross-platform compatibility testing and resolve UI / UX issues.
