Senior Investment Associate - Wix Ventures (Bay Area) The Senior Associate - Wix Ventures (Bay Area) will play a key role in expanding our network in the local startup ecosystem. This individual will be responsible for generating deal flow, evaluating early-stage investment opportunities, and fostering relationships with later-stage companies, investors, and other key stakeholders.

Deal Sourcing & Investment Analysis

Identify, evaluate, and engage with promising early-stage startups that align with our investment thesis.

Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of investment opportunities.

Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and due diligence on potential investments.

Work closely with internal teams to assess strategic fit and financial potential of target companies.

Work in collaboration with the corp dev team and provide local help in M&A activities.

Ecosystem Engagement & Relationship Building

Act as the company's local representative in the startup and investor community.

Build and maintain relationships with VC firms, accelerators, founders, other CVCs and industry leaders.

Identify and engage with later-stage companies for potential strategic partnerships.

Attend industry conferences, pitch events, and networking opportunities to enhance our presence.

Strategic Insights & Reporting

Provide regular reports on local market trends, competitive landscape, and investment opportunities.

Offer insights on emerging technologies and business models relevant to our investment focus.

Collaborate with the broader investment team to align local efforts with global strategy.

We are seeking candidates who are based in the Bay Area.

Qualifications

3 - 6 years of experience in Venture Capital, Corporate Venture Capital, or Startup Investments.

Prior experience in early-stage investing and working with founders.

Strong network within the startup and VC ecosystem, in the U.S. West Coast.

Ability to identify and assess startups with high growth potential.

Solid understanding of financial modeling, due diligence, and investment structuring.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work independently and travel often.

Bonus Points

Experience working in or with corporate venture and corp dev arms and understanding their strategic objectives.

Background in technology, SaaS, AI, fintech, or other high-growth sectors.

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess both financial and strategic value.

We are a dynamic Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) fund investing in cutting-edge startups and fostering strategic relationships with later-stage companies in collaboration with the corp dev team. The approximate base compensation is $150,000 - 200,000. In addition to base pay, you will receive company RSUs as part of the compensation package.
