Lab Director- Full Time- Day Shift

Position Summary :

Responsible for the overall functions of the Clinical Laboratory, Blood Bank, and Pathology Departments. Under administrative direction and in collaboration with the Medical Directors of both services, Director is responsible for updating and recommending modern technology and accurate diagnostic ethodologies, staffing the areas with qualified personnel and providing maximum efficiency and cost containment.

Qualifications / Requirements

Education

Bachelor of Science. Masters of Business or Health Care Administration preferred.

Licensure

Licensed in the State of Florida - Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License Required.

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of current leadership, management, and quality improvement principles. Must have full knowledge of elementary accounting principles with understanding of budget development as well as business economics and inventory management

Experience

Minimum of 5 years working experience and / or training in diagnostic equipment, manual procedures, and technical knowledge of the Laboratory. Three years of supervisory experience preferred demonstrating progressive management development with direct responsibility for the management of laboratory services, manpower planning and development, finance, quality improvement, information systems, marketing, and long range planning.
