Overnight Caregiver (ON-Call / PRN)

Amaray Care is looking for a PRN Caregiver to join our team for our client located in Takoma Park, MD.

The ideal Caregiver is responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our client who is no longer able to take care of themself due to illness, injury, surgery and or disability.

The ideal candidate must be able to care for our client and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.

You are required to be respectful of their space, religious beliefs, practices and family.

This person will encourage and remain empathetic to the client at all times.   Experience working with clients who have behavioral challenges is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will be calm under pressure, understanding, and able to de-escalate situations with empathy and professionalism.

They must also demonstrate dignity, compassion, and respect in all interactions while honoring the client’s personal space, beliefs, and family dynamics.

Responsibilities :

• Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and catheter care Support clients with behavioral needs in a calm and compassionate manner Ensure client safety and well-being at all times Light housekeeping and laundry Meal preparation and medication reminders Accompany clients to appointments as needed Offer emotional support, structure, and consistency Requirements : Minimum 1 year of experience in Home Health Care Experience with catheter care Experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges is highly preferred High school diploma or GED Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check Valid CPR / First Aid Certification Physical capability to lift and assist the client in and out of bed or a wheelchair Strong communication skills and emotional resilience Schedule : Weekdays and Weekends 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM Powered by JazzHR
