Job Description : Travel Cath Lab Technologist – Austin, TX

Position Title : Travel Cath Lab Technologist

Location : Austin, Texas

Shift : Days, 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM

Pay Range : $2,800 – $2,966 per week (gross)

Contract Length : Based on assignment

Responsibilities

Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, angioplasties, and other interventional cardiology procedures.

Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining processes and ensuring comfort and safety.

Operate and maintain specialized imaging and monitoring equipment in the Cath Lab.

Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic status during procedures.

Administer contrast media and medications under physician direction.

Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control standards.

Document patient information, procedure details, and outcomes accurately in medical records.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

Assist with post-procedure patient care and recovery monitoring.

Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain readiness for emergency situations.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.

Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent credential, depending on facility requirements.

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).

ACLS certification preferred.

Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.

Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
