A leading AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a driven Associate Attorney to join its innovative Internet Strategy & Litigation Practice Group . This is a rare opportunity to be part of a team that has been at the forefront of Internet law for decades, advising on some of the most high-profile and cutting-edge matters in the evolving digital legal landscape.

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record .
  • Active Bar Admission in New York , in good standing.
  • 2–7 years of substantive litigation or investigative experience with a focus on Internet law , data privacy , copyright , data security , artificial intelligence (AI), platform liability , and First Amendment issues .
  • Experience representing clients in federal and state court litigation, regulatory investigations, or high-stakes technology matters.
  • Familiarity with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Communications Act of 1934 , Communications Decency Act (CDA) / Section 230 , global privacy regimes , and evolving AI regulations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-performance environment managing complex, novel legal issues.
  • Soft Skills : Excellent communication, drafting, and analytical skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a broad range of litigation , investigation , and advisory matters involving Internet platforms , emerging technologies , and digital rights .
  • Represent major industry players and start-ups in disputes involving content moderation , copyright enforcement , online privacy , and AI regulation .
  • Advise clients on compliance with platform-related legal obligations and assist in crafting risk mitigation strategies .
  • Engage with cross-disciplinary teams and clients to shape litigation strategy and policy advocacy efforts.
  • Draft legal pleadings , motions , and memoranda , and manage discovery , witness preparation , and court appearances .
  • Contribute to thought leadership on evolving Internet and technology law issues.

    Compensation & Benefits

    Competitive Salary : $235,000 – $420,000 , commensurate with experience and class year.

    Discretionary merit bonus eligibility .
