Sanitor

Plant Services Sanitor performs daily and in-depth cleaning of all machinery, equipment and building structure. He/she will be required to dismantle, reassemble, preflight and clean & sanitize machinery. This requires the use of ladders, portable stairs, scissor lifts, single man lifts, boom lifts, fork-lifts and other equipment deemed necessary, including safety harnesses. Additional tool use shall include water and air hoses, hand tools, power tools, housekeeping equipment and cleaning and sanitation chemicals. The Plant Services Sanitor may be assigned to different tasks each day and will be responsible for other duties as assigned.

Job Functions:
1. Dismantle production equipment and associated equipment in preparation for cleaning and sanitizing.
2. Scrape, wash and sanitizes conveyor belts and other product handling equipment
3. Clean and sanitizes equipment using proper cleaner/sanitizer dilutions
4. Work in confined spaces and at heights up to 30' off of the floor
5. Clean equipment in washroom
6. Clean production rooms, trash dock, stairs and production platforms.
7. Brush off or vacuum framework, motors, electrical boxes, pipes,
8. Clean service equipment and plant storage facilities
9. Sweep, dust, and wash floors
10. Push/pull wheeled machine parts to washroom
11. Dump waste bins into compactor
12. Operate overhead hoists, and self-propelled aerial work platforms
13. Use hand tools and power tools
14. Communicate with co-workers and supervisors
15. Neatly and accurately fill out all necessary documentation (Ex. MSS, SSOP, HACCP, ETC.)
16. Follow oral and written directions and instructions
17. Follow JSA and Standard Work guidelines, plant rules and regulations and safety guidelines
18. Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area according to GMP and Good House Keeping Practices

Work Conditions:
1) 8-12 Hour shift, overtime required. Weekdays, weekends and holidays may be required. Employees will receive 2 fifteen-minute breaks and one-half hour lunch break.
2) Environment – Noise levels will be high; temperature may reach over 110 F and be as low as 0 F based on season. Lighting is sufficient, and floors can be slippery. Will be required to work in dusty environments such as minors' room.
3) Work in Plant Services includes working at heights and in confined spaces on a regular basis.
Training, Skill and/or Experience Required: Sanitation Employees are required to be trained and pass the following within the 6-month probationary period:
- Operation of Forklifts
- Operation of Single Man Lifts
- Operation of Boom Lifts
- Operation of Scissor Lifts
- Chemicals Handling
- Confined Space Entry
- Fall Protection Usage
- Must have Microsoft office experience (Excel and Word)
- Must be familiar with formulas and mixing.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
