Associate or Experienced Supplier Quality Engineer

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate (Level 2) or Experienced (Level 3) to join our Supplier Quality Technical Integration team in Everett, Washington. Our team members enjoy and meet the challenges of working remotely, with requirements to travel up to 75% of the time to different supplier locations. Our team members recognize and appreciate the autonomy, trust and judgment granted to them, to ensure the oversight of our suppliers. This person will plan, lead and conduct Part Qualifications, Processor Qualifications, Equipment Qualifications, Process Control and Spec Management. Strong knowledge of BAC and BSS Specs for composite, metal bond, injection molding, and additive manufacturing preferred. Primary responsibilities : Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provides Quality interpretation of requirements. Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances. Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under general direction. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience) : Level 2 : 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Level 3 : 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry Experience with Structural Metal Bonding or Composite technologies Experience working with Quality Standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14000 Capable of traveling up to 75% of the time Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience) : Experience with injection molding and / or additive manufacturing Experience with AS9145, AS9102, Process Control, or Statistical Process Control (SPC) Experience in conducting a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) associated with a complex technical issue Ability to present technical findings to various levels of leadership Drug Free Workplace : Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
