About the Role
The Company is in need of a Career Coach to support students in the Pathways to College Completion Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting students in the development of employment search strategies, tools, and skills. This includes providing individual and group support for resume and cover letter writing, as well as job search skills. The role also involves introducing students to career development resources and general campus resources, and helping to educate the college community on current career trends. The Career Coach will work closely with students to design and deliver career workshops, maintain records on student usage and performance, and support students in completing pathway projects.
Applicants for the Career Coach position should be current students at the company, working towards an Associate's degree, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The role requires excellent interpersonal, team-building, and administrative skills, as well as proficiency in online and social media communications. The Career Coach will be expected to collaborate with various stakeholders, including pathway coordinators, faculty, and the Career Center, to increase student awareness of career opportunities. Additionally, the role involves the use of career advisement tools and the planning and implementation of the summer bridge program. A background check will be conducted for the selected candidate.
