Project Manager

Responsibilities include mentoring Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure adherence to company procedures, providing feedback to senior leadership on performance and areas for improvement, preparing key individuals for advancement opportunities through coaching and guidance, collaborating with estimators on upcoming public projects, participating in bid reviews and providing strategic input where applicable, researching and identifying potential projects for inclusion in the bidding pipeline, assisting with estimating processes for targeted projects, contributing to employee review processes and offering insights on company operations, supporting future hiring efforts for Project Managers, hosting internal preconstruction meetings and assisting in resource allocation, developing project schedules and managing project scope, supporting project buyout and budget review / modification as needed, overseeing change management and schedule updates, attending weekly project meetings and maintaining cost tracking, managing project billings, monthly WIPs, and budget reviews, communicating budget changes and operational impacts to leadership, assigning tasks to Project Engineers, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements, leading project closeout activities and conducting post-job reviews with the project team, acting as a trusted advisor to owners and senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations, and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Essential Skills include 5-10 years experience as a project manager directly with a civil subcontractor, direct experience with earthwork and underground utilities, exposure to both public and private works' projects, experience in approving change orders, cost tracking, scheduling, and all primary PM responsibilities, proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously, strong understanding of preconstruction, estimating, and project execution processes, excellent leadership, communication, and mentorship skills, ability to analyze budgets, manage changes, and ensure financial accountability, and familiarity with public and private sector construction projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications include experience with construction management, change order approval, and civil construction, knowledge in utilities, cost tracking, budgeting, and heavy civil projects, estimation and project management experience in private construction.
Work Environment is 100% on site. Will be at project sites and office when not at project sites. Office located in Washington. The work culture is family-oriented with growth potential and consistent project availability.
Job Type & Location : This is a Permanent position based out of Sumner, WA. Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $140000.00 / yr. Competitive internal benefits.
