Job descriptionWork in a Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) within a Level I pediatric trauma center and teaching hospital Care for critically ill or post-operative pediatric cardiac patients, from birth through young adulthood Night shift schedule : 3x12 hour shifts (7 : 00pm - 7 : 30am) with weekend requirements Bedside procedures include central / arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, intubations / extubations, CRRT, ECMO cannulations / decannulations, and emergent operative interventions Utilizes Hamilton G5 ventilators, DirectLink ICP Monitors, Artic Sun systems, and Baxter Prismaflex machines EPIC EMR required for documentation Floating required within the hospital to NICU and pediatric units; no floating to affiliate hospitals Main responsibilities include providing advanced nursing care for critically ill pediatric cardiac patients including ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and bedside procedures Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary care team including pediatric intensivists, respiratory therapists, and various allied health professionals Scrubs are provided and must be solid color (no prints) All time off requests must be disclosed during application and cannot exceed two weeks First time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of relevant experience Return staff must not have worked at the facility for at least 6 months prior to reapplying Locals accepted at the same rate; no minimum mile radius applies Pre-employment modules are required before starting work Active Oregon RN license required or pending with application submitted Minimum 2 years of PICU or CVICU experience, including post-operative cardiac care BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred Experience with Epic charting system required Must provide two supervisor references from within the past 24 months, or one within the last 24 months and another within 3-5 years if needed COVID-19 vaccination proof required; exemptions not allowed No background or license issues accepted High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
