American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring PICU and CVICU experience and an active OR RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) within a Level I pediatric trauma center and teaching hospitalCare for critically ill or post-operative pediatric cardiac patients, from birth through young adulthoodNight shift schedule : 3x12 hour shifts (7 : 00pm - 7 : 30am) with weekend requirementsBedside procedures include central / arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, intubations / extubations, CRRT, ECMO cannulations / decannulations, and emergent operative interventionsUtilizes Hamilton G5 ventilators, DirectLink ICP Monitors, Artic Sun systems, and Baxter Prismaflex machinesEPIC EMR required for documentationFloating required within the hospital to NICU and pediatric units; no floating to affiliate hospitalsMain responsibilities include providing advanced nursing care for critically ill pediatric cardiac patients including ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and bedside proceduresWork collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary care team including pediatric intensivists, respiratory therapists, and various allied health professionalsScrubs are provided and must be solid color (no prints)All time off requests must be disclosed during application and cannot exceed two weeksFirst time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of relevant experienceReturn staff must not have worked at the facility for at least 6 months prior to reapplyingLocals accepted at the same rate; no minimum mile radius appliesPre-employment modules are required before starting work\n \n Requirements\n
Active Oregon RN license required or pending with application submittedMinimum 2 years of PICU or CVICU experience, including post-operative cardiac careBLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferredExperience with Epic charting system requiredMust provide two supervisor references from within the past 24 months, or one within the last 24 months and another within 3-5 years if neededCOVID-19 vaccination proof required; exemptions not allowedNo background or license issues accepted\n Benefits\n
