American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift CVPICU role, requiring an active OR RN license and at least two years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) within a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center20-bed unit serving critically ill or injured pediatric patients from birth to young adulthoodNight shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts : 19 : 00–07 : 30Required to work weekends as scheduledFloating within the hospital to the NICU and other pediatric units is requiredNo on-call responsibilitiesWill care for pre- and post-op pediatric cardiac patients requiring advanced procedures such as ECMO, CRRT, central / arterial line management, and targeted temperature managementUses Hamilton G5 ventilators, DirectLink ICP monitors, Artic Sun targeted temperature management, and Baxer Prismaflex machinesEpic charting requiredDaily duties include management of patients undergoing complex cardiac and intensive care procedures such as ECMO cannulation, CRRT initiation, central / arterial line placement, and responding to emergenciesCare is provided by a multidisciplinary team including pediatric intensivists, therapists, and support staff 24 / 7First-time travelers are accepted if they possess at least 2 years of PICU or CVPICU experienceScrubs are provided and must be solid color (no prints) for OR settingsAny return traveler must have been away from the facility for at least 6 monthsLocals are accepted at the same rate as travelers; no distance radius restrictions applyPre-assignment training modules must be completed before startRequired participation in pediatric intensive care transport as needed\n \n Requirements\n
Active Oregon RN license required (compact licenses not accepted for this facility)Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a pediatric CVICU or post-op cardiac ICUCertifications required : Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferredExperience with Epic EMR requiredCOVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptionsTwo professional supervisor or manager references from the last 24 months required for consideration (within 3–5 years if not available, with documentation)Candidates must submit all time off requests upfront (no more than 2 weeks off allowed)Must not have had any previous disciplinary actions or license restrictions\n Benefits\n
