Job descriptionOversee and mentor departmental staff, ensuring high-quality testing and workflow efficiency Manage departmental projects, quality review, SOP revisions, validations, and process improvements Provide technical expertise in immunohematology testing while supporting new method development Participate in interdepartmental initiatives and represent the department on leadership teams Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards ASCP certification as a Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) required; MLS preferred Meets CLIA qualifications for General Supervisor (High Complexity Testing) 5+ years of lab technical experience, including at least 2 years in immunohematology reference testing Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
