Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in dimensional data modeling, Azure Synapse, and advanced SQL , ensuring scalable and high-performance data architectures.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and implement dimensional data models (star schema, snowflake) for analytics and reporting.

Develop and optimize data pipelines in Azure Synapse Analytics (SQL Pools, Spark Pools).

Write expert-level SQL for complex transformations, aggregations, and performance tuning.

Integrate and transform data from multiple sources using Azure Data Factory or Synapse Pipelines .

Optimize storage and compute for cost efficiency in Azure (Delta Lake, Parquet, partitioning).

Collaborate with BI teams to ensure data accuracy and usability in Power BI or other reporting tools.

Implement data security, governance, and compliance best practices.

Must-Have Skills :

Dimensional Data Modeling (Kimball methodology, star / snowflake schemas)

Azure Synapse Analytics (SQL Pools, Spark, Pipelines)

Expert SQL (query optimization, window functions, CTEs, indexing)

Azure Data Factory or Synapse Pipelines

Data warehousing principles (SCD, partitioning, indexing)
