RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the preparation of monthly business unit and consolidated financial statements, and internal financial reports, including research and explanation.
- Create and manage the preparation of weekly and monthly reports to support departmental and business needs.
- Support the Corporate Controller with key consolidation reports and analysis.
- Oversee key accounting tasks and deliverables.
- Provide ad hoc financial reports, tables, and exhibits as requested.
- Assess business needs, prioritize projects, and drive new reporting initiatives.
- Support the preparation and analysis of quarterly consolidated financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, statement of comprehensive income, stakeholders' equity, and statement of cash flows.
- Perform quality assurance and ensure accurate and timely delivery of recurring reports.
- Interpret and analyze financial information posted to general ledger accounts.
- Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Play a crucial role in implementing new software to enhance departmental efficiency.
- Research balance sheet items and income / expense fluctuations using various systems and information sources.
- Develop and update a new financial reporting framework within the General Ledger.
- Interface with other functional areas to ensure reporting integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the finance team for analysis, planning, and reporting needs.
- Report findings to management with improvement recommendations, and implement approved strategies.
- Liaise with the audit team to prepare audited financial statements for each entity.
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial disclosures.
EDUCATION
Education Level : Superior
Academic Degree : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Additional Qualifications : CPA and / or Master's degree preferred, but not required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Knowledge Level : Advanced
Standard accounting principles, best practices, and procedures .Process documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls .Cost / expense allocation across projects, business units, and reporting entities.Financial reporting and general ledger structure.Financial consolidations, eliminations, and segment reporting.Reading and interpreting accounting rules and guidance.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, JD Edwards, BlackLine, Power BI, and Oracle.Bilingual : English and Spanish.
