Infrastructure Engineer – Build Data Platforms & Internal Tools for Robotics!

Opportunity Summary

An early-stage robotics startup is creating the foundation for general-purpose robotics by developing the infrastructure that allows anyone, anywhere, to control any robot. This technology will serve as the backbone for next-generation robotics, enabling scalable learning systems and accelerating the shift toward intelligent automation. We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who thrives in fast-paced, 0→1 environments. In this role, you’ll design and implement critical internal tools ranging from data labeling and annotation systems to scalable data pipelines that directly power advanced robotics development. You’ll work closely with research teams and global engineering partners, building out platforms that enable rapid iteration, data compliance, and seamless collaboration across borders.

Job Duties

• Architect and develop internal data platforms, including labeling / annotation systems and data ingestion pipelines.
• Rapidly prototype, test, and refine internal tools based on evolving team needs.
• Collaborate with research, operations, and international engineering teams to deliver robust GUI tools and data infrastructure.
• Establish best practices for infrastructure reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Ensure data governance and compliance with U.S. and international regulations (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR).
• Serve as a technical bridge between U.S.-based and overseas teams, aligning on product delivery and development culture.
