Production Supervisor | St. Johns, MI Salary Range: $60,000 - $87,000 depending on experience Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for leading teams and ensuring production targets are met? The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in St. Johns that are seeking skilled Production Supervisors. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. By joining our network, you position yourself for opportunities aligned with your career goals. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily production activities to meet output targets and deadlines. Manage, train, and develop production team members, including scheduling and performance evaluations. Ensure strict adherence to quality standards and specifications for all manufactured products. Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Monitor production processes for efficiency, identifying and resolving operational issues and bottlenecks. Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and planning departments to optimize production flow and resolve issues. Track and report on key production metrics, including output, downtime, and scrap rates. Recommended Qualifications 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams, including performance management and scheduling. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and production planning principles. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedures. Bonus Qualifications Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt preferred) Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or manufacturing execution systems (MES) like SAP, Oracle, or Plex Demonstrated experience in data analysis for production metrics and root cause identification Prior experience in a related technical role such as Quality, Maintenance, or Process Engineering Job Titles That Should Apply Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, Production Team Leader, Line Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Production Foreman, Manufacturing Team Leader Why Pivot Group The Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
