Job description
EHS Manager | Allegan, MI Salary Range: $81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for workplace safety and environmental compliance? The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Allegan region seeking EHS Managers. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and company policies. Develop, implement, and maintain effective EHS programs and management systems. Conduct EHS risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate workplace hazards. Lead and participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees. Perform regular EHS inspections and audits to identify non-compliance and drive continuous improvement. Monitor EHS performance metrics, prepare reports, and communicate findings to leadership. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and best practices. Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Professional EHS certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
