Welder | Plainwell, MI Salary Range: $40,000 - $70,000 depending on experience Are you ready to take on a challenging and rewarding opportunity in {{role_field}}? The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Plainwell seeking experienced Welders. Key Responsibilities Perform welding operations using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine project requirements. Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and positioning components. Inspect welded products for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications. Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner. Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies, including wearing appropriate PPE. Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in common welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols. Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures. AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent. Bonus Qualifications Certifications in additional welding processes or materials (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum). Proficiency with other fabrication tools (e.g., plasma cutters, grinders, press brakes). Forklift and/or overhead crane certification. Familiarity with quality inspection techniques (e.g., visual inspection, NDT methods).
